From the Inbox: Someone's Trying to fool you

The most prolific leader of Indonesian rainforest destruction in the global paper industry is trying to fool you. That's right. Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) knows that you've been mad at them since they've destroyed Indonesian rainforests - illegally logging, building roads through endangered species' habitat and displacing Indigenous communities.

Now APP wants Americans to feel good about their brand again...by renaming themselves Eagle Ridge Paper.

Let APP know that their name change doesn't change a thing. They must stop clear-cutting rainforests.

Eagle Ridge Paper, Mercury Paper and Solaris Paper...No matter what they call themselves, APP's family of brands continues to clear-cut and convert vast areas of rainforests from lush ecosystems into vast wastelands. This is not only devastating to endangered species like Sumatran tigers and orangutans and in violation of Indigenous peoples' rights, but this rapid forest and peatland depletion has placed Indonesia among the world's top greenhouse gas emitters and contributors to global climate change.

Tell the employees at Eagle Ridge Paper/APP that it's time to change their ways and stop fueling climate change.

Thank you for taking the time today to let APP know that it's time to change their practices.

For the forests,
