Next Tuesday's critical court hearing in Montana could determine the fate of hundreds of wolves this fall, including this spring's pups.

Please donate now to help us win this critical court fight and save the lives of Greater Yellowstone and northern Rockies wolves.

Help us reach our goal of raising $80,000 by 11:59 PM Eastern, on Monday, June 14th.

Dear Friend,

Next Tuesday, I’ll be in court fighting for the lives of our Greater Yellowstone and northern Rockies wolves.

The lives of this spring’s wolf pups hangs in the balance.

Please donate now to help us win this critical court fight and save the lives of these wolves.

Next Tuesday’s pivotal court hearing could not come at a more important time.

State officials and anti-wolf extremists are making the region an even more hostile and dangerous place for our wolves.

Idaho officials are allowing backcountry outfitters to target up to 20 more wolves in the northern part of the state through the end of June1 -- just as wolf pups in the region are leaving their dens.

They are also proposing to allow traps and baiting for this fall’s wolf hunts as they target even greater numbers of wolves than last year.2

In Montana, nearly triple the number of wolves could face death as last year.3

Please make an emergency donation to save the lives of these wolves.

Beyond state officials, a rash of dog poisonings in Idaho have pointed to the possibility that anti-wolf vigilantes are targeting wolves with toxic strychnine-laced sausages left along forest trails4 -- a terrible poison that causes painful and traumatic deaths.

Please donate now to help us reach our goal of raising $80,000 by Monday night to help us win in court and on the ground to save wolves in the northern Rockies, and other wildlife and their homes.

Next Tuesday’s hearing pits Defenders in a difficult battle against powerful groups like Safari Club International and the misleadingly named Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife. As Defenders’ top lawyer, I’ll be fighting for the lives of our wolves.

We have a real chance to stop next fall’s deadly wolf hunts -- but we need your help to win!

Please donate right now to help us save the lives of hundreds of wolves.
We’ve won for wolves in the courts before -- and with your help, I know we can do it again.

For the Wild Ones,

Mike Senatore
Vice President, Conservation Law
Defenders of Wildlife

P.S.Please donate now to help us win in the courts and on the ground for our wolves. Or call 1-800-385-9712 to donate by phone.
